The Pattern Starts With The Actual Object.
RKA works from the boat, table or machine in front of the tape measure. A cockpit cover is a small map of angles, proud fittings, timber edges, grab rails and bad places for water to sit. The same applies to a garden set with chairs tucked under or a compressor with lifting eyes and hot corners.
That is why new boat cockpit covers are not quoted from dimensions alone. Rail positions, cleat height and screen rake matter. A cover that misses those details may look tidy for a week and then start chewing itself.
